My name's Jim and I'm a stoned single parent of one and father of two from the seaside town of Margate in the UK.

I got in to DB via Rogan (like most people it seems)

Welcome Jim! I'm from Essex, not too far from you smile

Buongiorno! I'm a lost warrior who seems to have been asleep for a few generations. All I know is that I've seen 21 winters, was born and live in New Zealand, and am searching for a general that goes by the name of ‘Gaius’. Has anyone seen him around? Last I heard, he was awaiting the return of a lad named ‘Sulla’.

Books,
History,
Podcasts,
Football,
Hunting,
Poker,

Love all of the above smile

I'm a 21 year old car detailer that had a daughter a little bit too young struggling with finding the energy to follow my passions after all the meaningless but necessary work is done. I would be lost without all the great podcasts that accompany my daughter as the only things that uplift me and keep me positive while I try to figure this life thing out.

Greetings all!

I currently live in Dallas, TX where I work in software sales. I really dislike my job, but it pays very well and I have some debt to pay off from a video game store I opened up with a friend. I had the store for a little over a year and it was one of the most exciting years of my life. It was in Houston, TX (where I am from originally) and right after I started the business my wife got her dream job in Dallas. We did the 4 hour trip back and forth each week for a few days for about the entire time I had the store. Finally, got fed up and sold the store (lost a ton of money) and moved to Dallas.

I went to school at Texas A&M (studied History and minored in Film Studies), lived in Boston for a few years after school and never would have imagined that I would be in the spot in life I am at right now. Life is a trip.

I have been studying BJJ for the past year, love to fish, golf, workout at least 6 days a week and try to fit a few books in each month. I started with JRE (really woke me up), DTFH, Hardcore History, and The Drunken Taoist.

That was a bit long winded. Glad to be on the forum. Enjoy learning more about everyone else.

-Nick

Gig 'Em!

Been listening to The Drunken Taoist since the beginning. Also listening to DTFM, JRE, Hardcore History, and the Adam Corolla podcast. Love my wife, my kids, my alma mater, golf, judo, bjj, and all MMA really. Born and raised in Texas. Love to travel. Work in IT security. Oh and @SteadilyUnsteady, having a kid early really turned out well for me as it required becoming an adult… immediately. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was too young… could not afford it… but found a way. Keep on keeping on. Appreciate every single day. She will be grown before you have a chance to blink. My baby…. is in college already.. and it was like just yesterday when I graduated myself (1998 really smile )

Hello. I am constant and I am change. I wear a lot of hats. I enjoy organic gardening, building what I like to have or finding junk versions and repairing to working order (a race spec ironhead chopper version 5.5 ten feet to my left at 85% completion, my fathers and uncles childhood train sets in the other room and a waterfall outback await completion as I type. Dads train will circle the rooms in the house when done. Yes, I am single. The lack of battalion level hair care products in the shower tends to drive the point home I think.) Aproaching fith decade in a few years. Yogi. Arborist. Lover of all good foods and wine. Broke more laws than most didn't get caught and now mow the grass and pay the taxes. No one in the family saw that coming trust me. Prefer the Sativa but will appreciate a fine Indica gladly. The usual trident of JRE, DTFH & Dan Carlin brought me here been listening to all since February basically. Have dropped the acid eaten the shrooms and sought the answers. Ex student of BJJ (Miami, and yeah it just was the freakin' best time.) though still keep the tools handy. Like all intros like all people we meet its just a moment on the surface, eh? ;-)
Shanti
