His first book has been on my list for a few months Yeah, I felt the kindred spirit thing also. I think it has to do with the fact that Daniele has that ‘rough’ fighter aspect in his life, but also his emotional and analytical mindset. People gravitate towards people who will admit to feeling the whole range of feelings of our human spectre. It's soothing, because then we can admit to ourselves and others that we're the same way. Also he's a teacher, that shit helps when it comes to writing and sharing knowledge (podcasting). It might be more or something else than that, but that's my take on it. That and the brutal honesty. When I saw him tweet about telling his daughter about cancer I had a lump of absolute sadness in my throat. BUT it's the only moment I specifically remember from that day (last Tuesday). That just goes to show the power of honesty and true sharing. quote
