I have no idea about other people but I have a tendency to wax philosophically after a couple of drinks. I also have noted my reluctance to post anything a forum for fear of being called out on my own ignorance/stupidity and the total lack of that after a drink or two. So in an effort to combine my two brilliant incites into myself, have a drink (or many) take that thing that pissing you off at the moment and share it with the internet. LET THE DRUNKEN RANTING BEGIN!! |

Currently the thing angering me the most is the realization that there is Literally a whole fucken universe floating over our heads, that every single person on the planet can see on a regular basis. And humanities collective response to realizing its own insignificance is to find something you don't like about your nearest neighbor and attempt kill them because of it. Am I the only person that is like “WHAT THE FUCK!!”? There could be anything, absolutely anything out there and people only see the color of peoples skin or what possibly nonexistent deity you happen to believe in. I reiterate “ WHAT THE FUCK???. ” |

TheChairmaker That's the only redeeming thing about alcohol. Liquid confidence, even if it's fleeting, is sometimes a great thing in allowing people to get outside their comfort zone. However, as Daniele said there's no reason to be shy around here. It's true that the internet instills a certain discipline in people, where you can't just bullshit people without being exposed as a fraud/dumb/dishonest. But I see that as a good thing. If you're reluctant to post something maybe that just means you haven't explored a topic enough to feel confident in it. Just remember learning is supposed to be a lifelong process though. I say be bold, ask questions, and expand your mind. |

Today I invented a new philosophical construct - but I'm too lazy to stretch it out. The Theory of Given Parameter The idea is that one's only ‘natural’ duty, is to maximise one's own stance within a given construct, without intentionally causing a negative exogenous shock on another individual's set of parameters. This works on both macro and macro horizons. I believe this school of thought would maximise human connection, maintains social stability, and raises the general level of tangible happiness in the practicing population. I wrote that on a napkin like rainman - trade mark monkeychoke, but you can develop it if you're a philosophy geek; I don't know enough to do it any justice heh PS: wtf is up with the image embedding oh mighty mod king evan? |

I believe this school of thought would maximise human connection, maintains social stability, and raises the general level of tangible happiness in the practicing population. I personally like the idea of it being your ‘goal’ enhance your standing within a given system. I have reservations about the ‘natural’ part of things, being natures sole goal is to fuck up every other living thing in the system long enough that it can perpetuate itself into the next generation. I think there is a definite benefit in competition but there is also a tradeoff efficiency requiring time to achieve a marked improvement in a system. The difference being a human system that can realize that it has “base/violent instincts” and can modify its behavior accordingly. That said, I think your theory has potential. PS: wtf is up with the image embedding oh mighty mod king evan? I have no idea if your talking to me or this “oh mighty mod king evan” but in a attempt to cover all my bases, I happen to like pictures and tend to use them as a punctuation point. Besides I noticed that lots of other people don't post pictures and I thought it added a nice contrast. Thanks for posting and helping me keep the thread going. |

WhySpace Yes and No. Giving the differences in peoples values based on worldview and experiences I don't think it is completely unreasonable maintain a degree of self-censorship on the inter-webs today. Given peoples proven ability to overreact at the slightest provocation and the immortal nature of the internet, having some second thoughts before hitting the submit button might not be a bad idea. Part of this thought process is security. I know I'm a little hesitant to post what I write knowing that anything that I say could one day come back to bite me in the ass(This is also why I subscribe to the Rogan's Board policy of posting porn within your first 10 posts in order to prove your not a complete tight ass.). This is also part of my reasoning why liquor and ranting go so well together, by the time you sober up and realize “fuck I shouldn't have written that ” it has been sacrificed to the internet gods. |

This is something that has been bugging me for a while. People who sell their religions door to door like a vacuum cleaners . I personally don't care what you believe in but the minute you come knocking on my door, all bets are off. Your invading my personal space in order to sell me the newest and latest improvements to your religion. Here I was thinking that religion required careful thought and self reflection and here is some asshole asking me if I have “Heard what's new about the word of God?”. That just really pisses me off in a couple of ways: 1) Your assuming that I NEED your particular brand of religion 2) Your assuming that IF I needed your religion. I'm far too stupid to find for it for myself so you should come to my house and tell me about it. 3) Your salesmanship is terrible. If you really gave a damn about my eternal soul don't you think you should work a little harder to save it? 4) A lack of a tangible benefits in what your selling. At least the vacuum salesman can show me that what he's selling works on my carpets. 5) Just believe in a hypothetical deity and your life will be better….. What the fuck is that about? I didn't believe that line when I was five and my parents told me to be good for Santa Claus. So why would I believe that crap now after twenty more years of life experience?? I usually attempt to point out the flaws in their argument in slightly more polite terminology. But, as you might imagine this usually gets me nowhere. Despite this I had faith that there was a solution and I believe that I've found it. Drunken Taoists everywhere I would like to introduce you to The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster also known as Pastafariansm. My theory is that when confronted with a Religious doctrine that is equally as divorced from reality as mine is from theirs it will in shock them back to sanity. A mild form of spiritual electroshock. I could also be wrong but I've tried reason and logic and have failed to see any noticeable improvement. But to be realistic maybe I just want to see the look on their face when I launch into a diatribe about how the rise in global temperatures has been directly correlated to the lack of pirates in the world. But regardless of my own mental instability, there is a beautiful symmetry to taking an organized religious belief and just taking the next logical step to complete self-gratification. -Ramen |

I'm drinking some tremendous Johnnie Walker Black and a fine number of super silver haze - great combo, accept no substitute. Listening to the latest ‘DYSENTERY’ podcast with Kayla.P and Redban….fucking good fun, current topic of conversation is the smell of pussy juice, cool chick! Not a rant per se - but I'll be free here tonight so if anyone fancies a chat or wants to question the oracle, feel free. PS: I too love the smell of pussy juice after you've gone down on a girl…who doesn't. http://www.deathsquad.tv/category/dysentery/ http://vimeo.com/68413342 |
