I loved this episode cause Aubrey said something that for the last three months I've been saying a lot so it was really cool to hear someone else explain it that way. They were talking about bad trips and he explained it like seeing a “horror movie” and as long as you keep your head in the right place it won't be scary or unbearable. I often encourage my friends to experiment with psychedelics espescially for self discovery and introspection and many are scared to try them mainly because of the “bad trip” factor. I urge them that hey I know your personality and I know in the right setting you would be fine it doesn't just go bad. Personally after so much experience with psychedelics I know that I NEVER bad trip at least on LSD (mushrooms can be more emotional so I'm not quite as comfortable) Ieven feel like I've gained an amount of control to be able to turn an acid trip into almost a lucid dreaming experience where I can bend reality with willpower (making objects do simple things that they can't possibly do for example I once made a whole field of flowers dance with me) point is the more I trip over the years the better my brain becomes about being able to go deeper and deeper and remain unscathed but I have always placed myself in positive settings (nature during the daytime) here is where it gets nar. 3 months ago I dropped acid for the first time in a horrible setting. I was at the Las Vegas strip all night and not only the amount of people but the type of people that indulge themselves in the nightlife scene there was jarring. Most of them seemed inoccous but there where sick and sallowed groups of people I could tell lived there every night wasting away on this dirty playground and only living for sex and drugs. You could tell it was killing them not just in body but their souls were dirty. Out of that though it was a great experience. I was in full control and ever since I've referred to the trip like going to a haunted house, you know where your at and you know your seeing things for what they are but that's why you came here and there are important things to learn. All in all I learned a hit load as it was a completely new experience and it was definitely entertaining. Does anyone else view psychedelics this way? Similar experiences? And does anyone else have “lucid tripping” experiences with a large amount of control of their “hallucinations”? Also is anyone else interested in purposefully putting themselves in a dark setting for a trip as to learn a whole different spectrum of that knowledge? |
